Egremont Russet apple identification

The definitive English russet apple. The skin is an attractive gold colour with a sandpaper-like finish, and the flavour is characteristically dry and sweet. Egremont Russet makes a very good tree for the garden. Parentage: Unknown. Introduced / discovered in 1872.
